Our latest video for Bulova premiered this week over at Baselworld, the world’s largest watch and jewellery show in Switzerland. We designed, animated, and edited footage shot by Persona Films to create the final piece.

Twitch Completes Post on “Disco Ghetto”

Twitch completes post-production work on “Disco Ghetto,” the latest single from Jesse Malin and the St. Marks Social’s album “Love it to Life,” featuring Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker as a put-upon waitress who dreams of escaping from her misery and boredom at one of the band’s shows. Produced by Persona Films, “Disco Ghetto” premiered on RollingStone.com in July and is soon airing on MTV.

Twitch Post performed all editorial (Bruce Chilton, Abigail Honor), 3D VFX, color grading and finishing work on the video. (Stay tuned for our upcoming behind-the-scenes video highlighting all the effects that went into “Disco Ghetto.”)

U.S. Army “My Voice”

From Director Abigail Honor comes “My Voice,” a new spot for the U.S. Army produced by Persona Films for McCann Worldwide Group and Media Gravity. The spot spot shot on a classified location where a set was built to stand in for an Afghan village. Twitch performed all editorial, motion graphics, color grading and finishing services.

Final Cut Studio RED Workflow Whitepaper

Our colorist Alex Van Hurkman updated his whitepaper titled “Using RED Media with Final Cut Studio,” written for RED Digital Cinema. The 43-page document, detailing the best practices for post-production workflow with Final Cut Studio using media recorded with the RED One camera, is available for download from RED’s official website. Twitch Accepts “Made in NY” Discount Card

Twitch now offers a 20% discount on all post-production services to qualified projects participating in the “Made in NY” incentive program created by the New York City’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting.

This discount is offered in addition to a new tax credit incentive created earlier this year by New York State’s “NY Loves Film” program that encourages projects not shot in the state, or that don’t qualify for the production credit, to do their post production in New York. Eligible productions that complete 75% of their post production in New York can now apply for a 10% credit for the post production work done in New York. Beta-testing DaVinci Resolve

Twitch’s Colorist, Alexis Van Hurkman, starts beta-testing Resolve, DaVinci’s real-time color-grading system. DaVinci is the name behind more feature films, television commercials, documentaries, episodic television production and music videos than any other grading system. Among feature films graded with DaVinci systems are “Avatar,” “Transformers,” “Valkyrie” and “Quantum of Solace.”

World Cup Team for Safe Roads

Twitch completes post-production (editorial, motion graphics animation, color grading and finishing) on a new spot for the Federal Road Safety Corps of Nigeria. Featuring top soccer players from the Nigerian national team, the spot aired during the broadcast of the 2010 World Cup. Shot on RED ONE camera in 4k resolution, the spot was edited by Robert Lopuski and graded by Alexis Van Hurkman.
